Lo Bosworth says the women stars of The Hills were put in ‘compromising situations’ while filming reality show

Lo Bosworth was a recent guest on Just B with Bethenny Frankel and she spilled on what it was like being a cast member on The Hills years ago.

The 37-year-old Love Wellness founder — who first appeared on television on MTV’s Laguna Beach — admitted that the relationships on the show were ‘challenged.’

She said of the show, which included stars Audrina Patridge and Heidi Montag: ‘We were very young women constantly put into compromised situations where we had to blood sport it out against each other to get through a day of production.’

Bosworth had no interest in drama, which did not make her a good fit for the reality TV space, she noted.

‘I served a very specific role, which I’m actually grateful for in hindsight. I didn’t have to get into it too much,’ she said on the podcast.

DailyMail.com has reached out to reps for MTV for comment.

Lo added, ‘But in the areas where I did, it still kind of haunts me to this day because there’s so many stories behind this story everybody saw on television that run very counter to what the public thinks of you.’

She also speculated about why former co-star and classmate Lauren Conrad has taken a step back from the spotlight.

‘I think that [she was] famous to a degree that whenever anything happened that was negative, the blowback felt so significant and so life changing that you really live with that trauma and it affects you on a go-forward basis in terms of how much you’re inclined to share with people,’ she reflected.

And Bosworth said it is possible she will get together with her former Laguna Beach co-stars for a 20-year reunion.

‘I sort of talked to a couple people about it because we graduated from high school in 2004.

‘It’s 2024. It is our true 20-year high school reunion this year, and so in the context of Laguna, I think it would be great to get back together with the old gang,’ she said.

Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti, Morgan Smith, Christina Sinclair, Trey Phillips and Dieter Schmitz were stars of the show alongside Bosworth and Conrad.

‘I think that everybody’s doing really well, everybody is really friendly,’ she said of the group.

She continued, ‘And Laguna’s a kind, nice version of reality TV, right?’

Lo now works in Wellness, creating supplements and other products for vaginal health.

The Just B with Bethenny Frankel official Instagram account teased her appearance on the show in a post this week.

The caption read: ‘Lo joins Bethenny to discuss the origin story of her company Love Wellness and how and why it’s here to help! Lo predicts an important reckoning she believes is coming to the health industry in the next few years and has tips for being the “full you.”’
